Have you been thinking about finding a therapist? Trust that instinct and reach out today.

The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.
-Carl Rogers

You’ve wanted to get help for a long time but it’s been tough to take that first step.

Does it feel like your authentic self is just beyond reach, hovering above a cloud of persistent sadness, nestled beneath the hum of constant thoughts and worries? You long to dial down the noise, allowing for a moment of peace to fully engage with life.

Do you get that feeling when your logical side says, “Okay, maybe ease up on the self-criticism, always feeling like you have to apologize, and the constant people-pleasing,” but then your emotional side is doing its own completely opposite thing? It's like trying to find a middle ground between what makes sense in your head and what feels right in your gut.

Do you feel as though there’s a part of your story that was not written by you? Like some dysfunctional part that has been there so long, you feel like you don’t know who you are without it? Do you want to re-write your story and show up as your authentic self?

If the answer to any of these questions is “yes”, you are in the right place. As we navigate your path to healing together, we will:

  • Explore and understand the challenges you're facing.

  • Develop coping strategies tailored to your unique needs.

  • Cultivate a supportive and empowering therapeutic relationship.

Hi, I’m julienne.

If you are ready to heal, I am here to help.

While I use many different therapy methods and interventions, the foundation for my approach is “person-centered.” The quote at the top of this page by Carl Rogers, "The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change," reflects a fundamental principle of person-centered therapy and self-acceptance. It suggests that personal growth and positive change often begin with self-acceptance and self-compassion.

In essence, this quote reminds us that self-acceptance is not complacency; it's the foundation for growth. When we accept ourselves without judgment, we create a more supportive and nurturing internal environment that can lead to personal development, healing, and positive change. It suggests that when we stop fighting against ourselves, we can more effectively work toward becoming the best version of ourselves.

This principle guides our journey together. I’m here to help you on the path to self-acceptance, healing and positive change, so that you can show up in life as your best, most authentic self.

How it works

Ready to get started?

  1. Schedule your free 15 minute phone consultation. There isn’t any commitment or obligation. This call allows you to ask me any questions about my practice and what it’s like to work with me. It also allows you to share what is going on for you and what you want to get out of your therapy. During our call, we determine if we would be a good fit to work together.

  2. Clinical intake assessment. Our first meeting is the clinical intake assessment. In this session, I will be getting to know you better, we will be delving more into the challenges you're facing, and determining the steps to assist you in achieving your goals.

  3. Treatment plan and frequency unique to your needs. Our sessions together are scheduled weekly or bi-weekly, depending on your needs and your goals for therapy. As you progress through your goals, we will taper down as needed until your treatment is complete.
